Need a hand?
Straight answers about ordering, paying and picking up on campus.
Ordering and collecting
How do I place an order?
- Pick a food spot and add what you want.
- Check the total in your cart and go to checkout.
- Read and accept the pickup policy, then tap Place order.
You get an order number and pickup code straight away. Any active-order restriction is shown at checkout.
How do I know when my order is ready?
Your order and its progress show at the top of Home and under Orders. You also get an in-app notification at each step. Turn on push notifications in your account to get a ping on your phone when it is ready.
How do I collect?
Go to the counter, show your pickup code, and pay if paying cash. Collect promptly.
Under the pickup policy, the restaurant can report an unpaid, uncollected cash order four hours after it is ready. New orders are blocked during review; approval bans ordering until repayment, restaurant confirmation and executive clearance. See Pickup & repayment.
Is there a minimum or maximum order?
There is no minimum order total. Your order must still contain at least one item.
Maximum: 500.00 EGP of food per order, including add-ons. The restaurant cooks before it is paid, so a single order is capped. Place a bigger order as separate orders, one at a time.
Is there delivery?
No. UniBite is order-ahead and pick-up only. Every order is collected in person at the food spot.
Paying and fees
How can I pay?
Cash at the counter when you collect. Where card payment is enabled you can also pay by card; the card page is run by Amazon Payment Services, and your card details never reach UniBite. You can save a card for next time.
What is the service fee?
There are currently no service or convenience fees on new orders. Existing order totals remain unchanged.
Changes, refunds and problems
Can I cancel or change my order?
Cancel from your account before the restaurant accepts. After acceptance, contact the restaurant directly. If the restaurant agrees to cancel, it must update your order.
An item ran out. What happens?
The food spot may offer you a replacement. You get a notification and choose to accept or decline within the time shown.
- A pricier replacement: you pay the difference.
- A cheaper one, or you decline: the difference is refunded.
- No answer in time: the order is cancelled and refunded.
How do refunds work?
During this temporary mode, customers and restaurants arrange refunds and food corrections directly. UniBite sends the order and does not collect or refund cash. Existing card refunds remain handled through the payment provider.
Something was wrong with my food
Tell the counter first; they can fix most things on the spot. If that does not sort it out, open the food spot's page, tap Reviews & complaints, and file a complaint.
How do I rate a food spot?
Go to Orders, then Past orders, and tap Rate this order on anything you collected. One rating per order.
Your account
Who can sign up?
Anyone with an MIU email address ending in @miuegypt.edu.eg. We email you a verification link, valid for 24 hours, before your first order.
I can't log in
- Use your MIU email, not a personal one.
- Check that you verified your email. Look in spam for the link.
- Use Forgot password to set a new one. The reset link works for 30 minutes.
How do I change my name or phone number?
In your account, under Details. Your email is tied to your MIU account and can't be changed. Food spots use your name to find your order, so keep it real.
Can I install UniBite as an app?
Yes, it installs from the browser. On iPhone, open UniBite in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open the Chrome menu and tap Install app. Updates arrive on their own.
How do I delete my account?
Email [email protected] from your MIU address. We keep past order records, because they are the record of what you bought from each food spot. See the Privacy Policy.
